If you hold nearly any remote pointed towards your nose, the initial push of the button uses your body as an antenna.

Question for the OP...

Do you have the remote enter and go on your D and if so does the bypass you mention here pass a signal through to the alarm to disarm when you enter the vehicle?

I hate the stupid horn confirmation on some vehicle when you lock it with the remote. Very annoying and make it seem cheap.

Does the OEM remote with remote start beep when you simply lock your doors? If not this would be one more reason to go aftermarket. I didn't think of it at first but love it on my current aftermarket remote start. Sometimes I forgot if I lock the car and I can just look at the remote screen for confirmation or just re-lock the doors. The remote then beeps so I don't need to look at the vehicle or be anywhere near it. Ended up being my favorite feature of adding remote start.

You can shut the feature of the horn honking on lock if you want with the driver programming.
