Antennae
I'm putting my money on the whip antenna being an upgraded model which gives you better reception. With my old shark fin, I lost reception under EVERY overpass. Now I almost never do. I think we should be thankful that it's a whip antenna, otherwise it would be broken already.

Hell my neighbor's Land Rover LR4 is taller than my Durango Citadel...the LR4 has a low profile antenna that looks like a half *** shark fin and this vehicle clears his standard size garage with plenty of clearance.

I was wondering about reception since my FM reception is unbelievable. I catch my favorite local station that was total impossible in prior vehicles. The SAT service however, cuts out under ever bridge or group of trees even. Wondering how a new antenna would affect the reception.
I get great reception with the 'whip'. I do lose reception sometimes when going under a bridge....but it's pretty rare. I live in a large city, so I go under quite a few bridges. I've never lost reception from the trees. My Durango fits in the garage and nothing hits the door. Are all garage doors not a standard height, do some of you have short garages??

I still listen to FM radio I hope Mopar someday will put out and sells a shark fin or a flat low profile antenna accessory. Ebay does have a lot of aftermarket shark fin antennas listed but most of them are not connected to the radio and for decorative purposes only.
