When my phone battery is less than half down, the UConnect system says by battery is yellow. Likewise, when my battery gets below half, UConnect says it's red. Is there anyway to calibrate the UConnect interpretation of your cell phone battery status?
I doubt it. My wife has an iPhone and I think the meter stays one color, blue and green (icon). I need to double-check. The colors could be a function of the Bluetooth stack on the phone firmware...not really sure.
Uconnect displays what is sent to it by the phone. The phone sends a # from 0 -5, with 5 being full charge. There is no way of changing this, the phone manufacturer has to do it with soft ware. However there are issues with the BB phones that are corrected by doing a reset. Remove the battery for a minute or so, then put it back in and see if it helps.

Thanks.
My Droid does the same thing. Interestingly enough.....I think the Uconnect is a more accurate indication of my phones battery life, than what the phone shows.
I would love one day for these in-dash system to be open and anyone can customize/build apps for them. They feel so 2003.
Very astute observation and very close. The base system is circa 2006/2007-ish and dated. Expect to see the 2013 Gen3 to contain a much more moderized setup whereas the 2012 is very much just a 2011. The 2011 Gen3 was originally intended as a 2012 release anyways, just rushed for some early sales dollars.
The refresh may slip to 2014 based on the economy and sales... both ours and Italy's. That is why early sales dollars were/are important. Italy's economy is as bad or worse than ours and they have a bigger problem. As an EU member, they don't control their own destiny. Ireland, Spain and Italy are roughly equal in their dread and drain on the EU. Ireland is too close to the money to let fail, Spain is to big to let fail and Italy has failed to big to save. There will be a washing out all over the EU in the coming 18-36 months. The Italian bloom that is Chrysler may be simply washed away with Italy's troubles, leaving the US operations fending differently especially if US auto sales are marginal to medium.
Whew... what an international explanation related to an old stereo.
