Maybe you guys can shed some light for me. Someone mentioned that with a brand new vehicle that you don't have to make your first oil change until 7k miles. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this was true or not? I haven't gotten my D yet, but I'm just trying to plan ahead for the future that way I know when to properly change my oil. I know with most vehicles you can make it go about 5k miles, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

 

The owners manual shows the first oil change at 8,000 miles or 6 months. The D also has an Oil Change Due service reminder in the EVIC.

I changed mine at 4,000 miiles because I'm old school and it was killing me to not have performed the first oil change yet.

when i own i do the same, i couldn't care less what the manual says, get's a mobil 1 change at 3k then every 5k after.. this one's a lease so free oil changes at required intervals and dino oil is alls that it's getting lol
