1. Turn Ignition to ON, but do NOT start.
2. Depress the the gas pedal fully and allow it to return fully 3x within 10 seconds of Step 1.
3. Turn ignition to Off.
4. Start vehicle normally.

I assume you did get the leather pouch with the users guide and owners manual DVD, correct? If not I would ask the dealer you bought it from for it or look in the slot above the glove compartment when open... It took some of us a few minutes to find it.

There is a number inside the Users Guide (don't remember if it was the front of the back cover) where you can call and order a free set of owners manuals... The call took less than 5 minutes...

All Dodge owner's manuals can be found here: http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/

Also if you have an android phone or and iPhone there are Durango apps which also contain the owner's manual.

it works for me. I change my own oil. in both my 2011 Durango and a 2011 Town & Country.

I'm not aware of any other procedure. I have to ask, are you sure you're doing it right? Vehicle ON and not just Accessory? depressing and letting the pedal up SLOWLY? all in 10 sec?

again, no offense meant. I'm just not aware of any different procedure.

I think it would've been easier to just to type the answer to the question.
