You don't need the capacitor for HID install in the D (as previously stated in other threads). The reason why you're having flickering is because you have a faulty ballast. Contact who ever you got your kit from and have them replace you ballast.

Not totally true. I had major flicker and it was not my ballast. As stated before with mine, the capacitor fixed my flicker. Not sure what anyones else's issues were but that was my fix....

Its impossible to diagnose shawnpaul's issue without physically looking at his set up. Provided he knows his ballasts are good or bad, the most common issue with Dodge flicker needs a relay or capacitor based on what I experienced on the same vehicle with the same issue....

Myself and another DD owner both put HID kits in and we both needed ECE/Capacitors to get the kits to function properly. For me the HID's would come on but once I turned them to the ON position only one side would stay on. Once I installed the ECE from the ballast to the power supply of the headlight unit everything has been perfect and error free...not to mention super bright!! I purchased mine from ebay for $10 a pair. Check the link.

When you or if you decide to do the fog lights you do NOT need the ECE's. They will work with no problems.

Once your flux capacitor is working you will have a great old time!

My ballasts are actually good. I have checked it and switched them around as well but still got the same results. Infact, that's my 2nd kit and I have same issues with both. I read that the issue might be due to not a good ground so I installed a wire running from baallast to the chasis but still no luck.

Thanks for your response. I have already contacted the seller. He will call me again tomorrow and I will see if he can send me free capacitors.

The seller just sent me this. Hopefully this will resolve the problem. Also ordered LED backup lights from iJDMToy.Com. Check out this web-site, they have all cool Led Lights. I have already replaced license plate light with LED. I am working on replacing, my brake lights/turn signals to LED.

I have 2 HID kits installed on my D (don't worry, I have 4 hid projectors). I just started noticing the other day that my lights flicker on/off briefly randomly about once every 3-4 minutes. I moved one set to my to turn on with my fog like and the other with my headlights. Ive only had them setup like this for a few hours, I could not replicate the flicker with the HID kit relay setup on the foglights. Anyway, I went ahead and just ordered the Canbus adapter stated about from ebay. I assume my issue is either the CANBUS, or I have a loose connection in my pnp harness. I will keep you all informed of my findings.
