Unhappy Need help with HID Kit Flickering

Just added HID Kit to my Dodge Durango 2011 truck and every once in a while it flickers. I have double, triple checked all the connecitons and everything looks good. I still can't get it to stay stable. I have searched so many forums but did not get an easy and quick solution. Can anyone please help me with this. I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
SP

How are they wired up? Is the ballast getting power from the headlight wiring or are you using a relay/harness. Where did you get your kit from?

Another question too, is it a "true" hid kit with the ballasts? or is just the high power bulbs?
Some people consider just the bulbs as hids. you may need that relay harness.

You need a capacitor (not a FLUX LOL). I ran into the same issue on my 2011 D HEAT when I had it, found out Dodges have known flicker problems and this is the work around. I paid $20/a side for capacitors from my local shop to resolve the issue on a true HID kit.

I'm told its used to trick the elec system to bypass the boost of power put out by the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). The capacitors regulate the current to keep it constant thus eliminating the flicker. Thats what I understood, sounds good anyway In short, I've been there done it, fixed it and it worked. Actually, let me get back to you with a pic of them when I get to them in the garage. Took the kit off when I traded the vehicle in for an R/T. Some pics of the HEAT, HIDs installed:

I know when I tested a xentec ballast on the factory wiring it was fine. I am running 2 hid kits with relays and they have been fine since install 2 days ago. keep us posted

I got the kit from iJDMtoys.com, Ballast is getting power from original headlight wiring.

Here's a pic of the capacitor on my kit, the black box on the lower right. It serves as a "relay" I guess. Anyway, hope it helps....
