Demo vehicle pricing
Don't worry I wouldn't buy it for 39,500! I asked them for the discount amount for being a demo w/ 5600 mi and they said they are taking 1500 off what the same car would be new from them, not enough IMO.
I too looked on fitzmall at the 2012 citadel listed at 42,697 though it has Hemi, tow, and skid (and DVD). If you subtract invoice prices for those options (but leave in DVD) it comes out to 39,990. This makes the 2011 demo price very unattractive as its basically the same car but a year older and with 5600 mi.
What I don't understand though is when you price a 2012 Durango on Truecar, BofA, zag, etc these dealers are listing prices below invoice-holdback-incentives (rebates). One dealer 30 mi from me is listed at 39,454 for 2012 citadel with DVD, with dealer cost of 40,135 ?? How can they offer it that low, unless they don't plan on honoring the pricing. or I guess they will charge all kinds of fees to make it up?

Since you had said $38k and it isn't that and instead nearly $8k more than that, all the figures from earlier aren't valid now. The concepts are so apply accordingly.
With that said, I agree with the others. Too high for the miles and wear. Look elsewhere.
