Big difference between 430N and 730N?
Just bought my wife and 11 Heat from a dealership 8 hours away right outside of Las Vegas where i bought my Ram from a couple years ago, i had navi installed for her but just realized that i wasnt asked which one i wanted he just gave me a price. if it is the 430N is there a real huge difference between the 2? i still have time to have it switched out and i will pay the xtra money for her if its worth it. Thanks

aftermarket kenwood ???? what ????
If it's truly aftermarket, you may loose out on some other neat funactionality, for example our 430N GARMIN nav will send directions to the center cluster screen as need be.
Also, but this may not apply to a Heat, when saving seat memory position, the 430N tells us what seat position was saved. Also the 430N has a feature setting (via the EVIC) for storing presets based on seat position.
What will the warranty be like on an aftermarket stereo?
BTW, the biggest difference I think between the 430N and 730N is that the 730N
1) also voice control of nav
2) is harmon kardon based nav. $199 map updates vs $149 for garmin.
Me personally, having used garmin for so long, I just wanted the 430N garmin. That's it was cheaper was just a plus. If the garmin had cost extra $$$, then I would have paid the extra to get the garmin.
Just this past weekend even found out that the 430N garmin even has the garmin lane junction feature which shows you a cool picture with overhead highway like signs to help figure out which lane to take. Also it shows the current speed and the actual speed limit for that road (assuming the data is up to date).
Me personally, I would not allow an aftermarket unit to be installed.

ill have to call and ask, i have an aftermaket alpine in my ram and it works great. i would like some of those features you mentioned although i dont have power seats. i think they were saying something about having to reprogram the whole vehicle or something. ill have to look into the model of kenwood there installing.

Why not just get it with whatever it's got? 430N or 730N? I don't think the differences between either are worth the jump to an aftermarket unit.
Also, what about the steering wheel controls and the aftermarket unit? Gotta make sure those all work too.
The only thing that would REALLY upset me, regardless of 430 or 730, having a nice size screen in the dash, would be the lack of a backup camera.
Man, do we use the backup camera A LOT. It should just be standard.
