Wish I could help you here. Hopefully a Volant owner will chime in?

thanx man... its simply a rubber grommet that the sensor snugs into, seems a lil loose imo. IK might throw a small bead of silicone on it to make sure it stays in place!

The sensor should have a groove for the grommet to rest in which produces positive retention. It shouldn't be loose to the point that you are concerned it might fall back out.

Did you by chance push part of the grommet through to the inside of the tube while inserting the sensor? The first time I tried to install my Charger's IAT into the grommet, the thing shifted and popped inside the tube. You do not want a piece of rubber getting sucked into your engine.

No I even made sure to pop it out to verify that there was a groove, it snugs into that groove its just not as tight as is want it to be I guess.

I am contemplating installing a Volant CAI on my 2012 Citadel. The concern I have is the increase in the noise. I love how quiet the Citadel is and I really don't want to have a loud intake sound but I would like the improved performance. How much did the sound change inside the cabin with your intake?

thanks,
b

U get a bit more sound under heavy acceleration but nothing too loud imo.

Thanks for the feedback. Heavy acceleration doesn't bother me. I am more concerned about just normal driving and not adding additional engine noise to the cabin.

thanks again,
B

I have the Volant and have not noticed any noise at all - maybe because I am listening to the Borla though.
