Trying to order a 2012 Citadel
Bvincent,
Dealers are only allowed to order a certain number of any type of vehicles in any given time period, which is determined by a number of factors. If a dealer indicates they cannot order any more it may be because they have already ordered their full allotment for the current time period. If you have other dealers near you it may certainly well be that they could get you the vehicle another dealer may not be able to get at this time.
As far as finding the captains chairs on vehicles sitting on a dealers lot, that will probably be tough at this time since the option has only been out a couple of months. Someone else mentioned about changeover dates. Typically changeover occurs in the late June through mid July time frame. It can be earlier if it is a new model launch but sometime in July is usually the norm. While they may build them until July, depending on the amount of orders, new orders may only be taken up until the end of May or early June to make sure they can all be built before changeover occurs at that particular plant. All of this is not only dependent on how well the vehicle you are ordering is selling, but also how well other vehicles made at the same plant are selling. In this case the other model made at that plant would be the Grand Cherokee.
Thanks guys for all the info called the dealer to figure out what the heck is going on and they scheduled my build glad this dealer finally got their act together my family has done business with them for the last fifteen years.
