Default Why spend the money on entire exhaust systems?

Couldn't you just buy the mufflers and have a shop bend some pipes and have the same results? Just curious. I just recently bought a CAI and don't have the cash to fork up for a whole exhaust. Also, which flowmaster is preferred for the 5.7 hemi?

Full flowmaster catback from performancepeddler.com for $652 shipped... Sounds great, nice deep time and not overly intrusive in the vehicle at all!

Oh that's not too bad. Was looking at another site that had them at $850. After install that ends up being over 1k. I just can't see myself paying that much.

If its sound your after then mufflers will do it. Going with a reasonably well built 2.5" system with an x-pipe will build some power too.

I think the stock r/t exhaust sounds great. I'll have to hear the flowmaster in person. I somehow doubt there is any performance gain though and worry about drone with MDS

You and me both, though it's highly likely I can't wait even more...hahahaha! The wheels should be arriving about the same time so I'm going to get it all done in one fell swoop. There just happens to be a Midas right across the road from a Merchant Tire not too far from where I live so it may all happen in one day.

Rest assured that some video and still pics will be posted that day in all their HD glory...woot woot!

To answer your question. Yes. I had a local exhaust guy in Jacksonville Fl (Rainbow Muffler on Phillips) Do the exhaust on my Dodge Charger Daytona. Removed the big suitcase mufflers removed the cats. Custom bent straight pipe with two Borla exhaust. $400 and it sounds and performs awesome.

My $140 exhaust. Cut mufflers off and basically had an axle back system made.
