Durango r/t performance specs
Yeah, info varies per source. The Dodge web site says 3.45, stickers say 3.47, but ZF (the manufacturer of the 225mm r&p) says it’s 3.46 from what I’ve found. Either way the difference is miniscule. I’ve been searching and waiting for a new gear set to become available in the 3.92-4.10 range. I think this would put the D’s acceleration where it should be and allow the MDS to stay active through more load ranges.
This would be more beneficial to those of us who live in hilly/ mountainous terrain or do much towing.
Hypertech has a programmer that can recalibrate the speedo for tire size/ gear changes on the ‘11+ D.

And still adding to it.....
With aftermarket 4.56 gears you know better than to compare a stock RT with your truck on a 0-60. 2800 Stall....Your truck is built for the launch and the 1/8 mi. Also do not forget the Durangos only pushing 360hp compared to the 390 hp you may have heard on the RAM HEMI commercials.
That is a detriment for those of us who like to mod our engines.

There is a big difference between my two trucks, and with a K&N they are basically stock. You're gonna notice it a lot more. But - that said, the RT is a great ride, and if you are gonna get one - might as well work off some warranty miles while waiting for the aftermarket world to catch up.
