Default push button start and proximity

So I was checking out my build sheet last night and according to the Jeep guys I should have push button start. I have code XBNP Tip start listed on my build sheet....which is the code for the push button/proximity. Is this standard on the Durango Heat? Its standard on all Jeeps from Laredo E package and up. I bought the push button, installed it and it doesnt work! Just says damaged key on the evic! Any insight?

Tip start IS NOT pushbutton ignition. Tip start means that all you have to do to start the car is turn the key to start for an instant ('tip') and the starter will engage as long as necessary to start the vehicle and stop when the engine starts. With the computer controlled ignitions on these vehicles, you CANNOT engage the starter (the computer will not engage the starter) with the vehicle already running.

There is a D Push Button Start for sale here in another thread. Really cheap IIRC.

Okay the Dodge Owners' site lists Keyless Entry, Remote Proximity Keyless Entry and Keyless Go separately and my window sticker says 'Keyless Enter-N-Go'

I cannot locate the XXXX code for it however. Have you tried the Owners' site?

Beyond that, my 2008 Charger is listed as having 'Tip Start' and Pushbutton wasn't even available then. Sorry.

I added the MOPAR remote start to my RAM. When they got done programming, the Info center had new options. Sure its the same if you want to retrofit a kit on your D.
