Hello all,

After a mistfire on cylinder #6 and head replacement in August on my Pentastar I have an appointment next Monday for a check engine (P0305) mistfire on cylinder #5...!!!

Maybe i could ask them at the same time why the tranny get stuck into 2nd / 3rd gear.

I will sure ask Chrysler Corp. for a free extended warranty

dealer sent my home home with it tonight. Said the egnieers told them to do some hard runs in it, reset the code and deliver the vehicle. We'll see what happens. The dealer was still getting the misfires after the head replacement. total BS....gonna call dodge cares

I am taking my 12 Durango 3.6 in this afternoon for the Cylinder #4 head to be replaced. I don't know how this is not a recall for this engine.

Cool 3.6 New Head

I have a 3.6 2011 Dodge Durango and I also had to get the Head replaced about a month ago. Under warranty, so no problem. Wife took it in today for an Oil change and mentioned that it is still backfiring and also when Idling occasionally dies. Service folks told her that we had to pay to get 6 software updates done to resolve the problem. Do I need the head replaced again or does anyone know about the supposedly 6 updates for the software for the engine that is suppose to resolve the idling and backfiring?

thanks for you support!
