Default Considering Zex Safeshot Kit...

I've never used nitrous before but am considering it lately. The zex Safeshot can be installed without a tune with a conservative 30-shot. My thought is it would be fun for the warmer days to shoot a cold charge thru the intake. Then whenever a tuning program is released, buy there upgrade kit and spray a bigger shot. Not looking to drag race but it sounds fun to pop my nitrous cherry...any thoughts and recommendations welcome.

I used to use Nitrous in my drag car and you have to rebuild the motors after a while of use. Not sure of its the same on new fuel injection motors.

I don't see where a small dry shot would hurt, I would definately look into meth as well. Check out snowperformance they offer a nice kit and it seemed safer than running nos imo.

If you are looking to just "chill" intake look into DEI CryO2 system. This will be a lot safer method for what you are looking to do.

I don't think it is a dry shot system. You have to add gas normally with the 5.7/6.1 motors

30HP is not very much and not worth the expense in my opinion if it is only part-time. You'd be better off putting the ram intake manifold on the D (you'll need a taller hood) and get the same gain (they are 390 HP from the factory because of that intake).

Ahhhh that I didn't know, thanx for the info... That's my point with the meth mj its basically like running race gas and added around 40hp to the wheels on the dyno with the twin turbo on the 335

Meth injection is more geared for forced induction engines. You will see very little (maybe 10-15HP in a warm climate) from a stock compression engine. It will help it run cleaner and probably advance timing some due to the lower intake temp and higher octane. It really shines when you have high intake charge temperatures, the water will atomize absorbing the intake temp reducing the chance of detonation and the Meth/ethanol adds to the fuel octane. I run a devils own progressive kit on my car with 28lbs of boost and it is the best thing since sliced bread for a forced induction engine. I run Wally worlds windshield washer fluid in it with a nice 11.0-11.5 A/F on my wideband O2. I can run high boost on 93 octane fuel for very cheap. The gains for a $250-300 progressive Meth injection system on a stock compression engine would not be with the $ IMO. NO2 would be better band for the buck.

Gotcha... good info my only experience with it was on my 335i which was running 17-18psi of boost.

Yiu cant just put a "ram" intake on a durango and expect it to work. Its is computer controlled and alters between a "short" and long" runner. So it wouldnt work .
