Default My Mod thread with pics

This how I spent my fathers day

First I removed the front dealer tag flipped it over and covered it with black vinyl. I used my vinyl cutter to cut out some different
size R/T emblems and finally decided on this one.

Default Fender Stripes / Hash Stripes time

I decided after making the front tag I would go ahead and make some flat black fender hash stripes. I decided to make go the same direction as the new dodge logo.

I had a few left over R/T emblems and decided to put one in the middle

I think I made like 10 different stripes before I found the thickness I
thought looked right

Default Next came the plasti dip wheels

After seeing some youtube videos on plasti dip spray wheels I decided to give it a try. After calling around trying to locate some cans. I drove to the city "Oklahoma city" and stopped by home depot " the only place you can find it out here". I picked up 3 cans and after doing this I wish i would of picked up 4. The wind was high today and the sun was relentless which made it harder.

I gave each rim a light coat

Then I went to work on the stock center caps and followed the red and black theme.

I then cut the stripes around the dodge in the middle of the cap and sprayed them with some red candy coat.

I was going to paint the calipers but decided against it . It looks like there is already some type of sliver coating on them already.

Im still undecided if I like the combo but im going to cruise it like this for now.

If I get sick of the black I can allways remove it! plasti dip comes off pretty easy and its very durable. My coworker did his 2 years ago and they still haven't shown sings of wear. If I had to redo it I would made room in the garage and kept the rims cooler while doing this.
plasti dip spray dries super fast almost to fast in the heat! and can give you a bad finish. I have to redo 1 rim if I decide to keep this look.

Default And the final reults

Lol after reading the thread about the lack of a coin holder I decided to install one.

after doing all of this I drove up to the car wash and cleaned her up.

Well I am beat! I spent my whole fathers day outside doing all this but it was fun! If you guys want any r/t emblems cut or any thing else cut give me a shout.

I'm not a big fan of the black wheels, but I could live with the stripes.

Yeah I am still tossed up about the black wheels. Sometimes I see it and I like it lol and other times I am about to peel it off!

Stripes look good! I'm in Tulsa... Good luck but plasti-dip will not hold up bro. Find a powdercoater...normally about $40-$60 a wheel.
