Default Blind spots and mirrors

Anyone else have problems seeing the blind spots when looking over your shoulder with passengers in both back rows? I was having a difficult time yesterday and I'm thinking of getting those "fisheye" blind spot mirrors that stick on to the side mirrors. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone else already have the stick-on mirrors? Did they stay on or fall off over time?

I put the round ones on every vehicle I own, cars and trucks. They were on the D R/T the first day I owned it before it even got home. If you look in your mirrors, you'll find that you mainly use the inside half of them if you have them adjusted properly. Place your round mirrors on the lower outside corner making sure not to overlap the edge of the factory mirror. Also, don't waste your money on the small mirrors. You can't make anything out in them. Another added benefit is that when you back up, you can see the parking lines beside and behind your vehicle.

Can you provide a link to the blind spot mirrors you recommend?

Anyone else have any luck or a recommend blind spot mirror? Need to add a high quality set to my D. Thanks

I was told this at least 10 years ago and thought it was bull****, but it works and I've been driving like it ever since.

Get in your truck move your head all the way to the drivers side window. look into your left mirror and adjust it out until you can barely see the side of the truck in the mirror. Next move your head directly to the center of the vehicle(pretty much in line with the rear view mirror), now adjust the passenger mirror out until you only see a little of the side of the truck. You now have NO blind spot whatsoever. once you lose a vehicle in your side mirrors it is viewable in your rear view mirror once it leaves the rear view mirror it appears in the opposite side mirror(ie vehicle moves from the left lane all the way over to your right). At any rate I have not turned to check a blind spot in years. It does take some time to get used to though.

Here's a youtube video of the trick/tip that boosted is talking about. I do the same thing and it works perfectly. It does take some adjusting though.

Boosted and Dodgemack, Thanks for the tip. I had never seen this mirror technique before. The video is very helpful. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.

I buy the 3.5" mirrors at Autozone, O'Reillys, etc. We have them on my wife's 2001 4Runner and I just switched to a new set last year. The first ones lasted about nine years. I just bought a 2000 Silverado last week and on the way home, I stopped at Autozone and bought a set. I even have a smaller pair on my Challenger R/T. I don't have a pic of my D R/T mirrors but this is one of my Silverado. I bought this to drive in bad weather so my R/Ts can stay in my heated and cooled garage.

My mirrors have blind spot monitoring arrows in them that light up when a car is in my blind spot. Also if I signal or attempt to switch lanes, a chime alerts me too. I never would have considered using this feature much if I didn't already have it, but now, I find that it works exceptionally well. It's kinda like using the back-up camera, took a little while to get use to, but now I use it all the time.

I also have blind spot monitoring and I would not he able to live without it. Pair that with the tips from the above video and I have perfect vision and no blind spots. I'd suggest to the OP to try the tips and if you find that you need more see if you can have the dealer install blind spot monitoring arrows. It's worth whatever it would cost.
