Default My R/T - You squint, we tint!

Just had 20% put on the fronts this morning by a guy in Kenvil, NJ that did a buddy's car. Came out great!

Next on the list:

· Mopar logo (gray vinyl) for rear window (ask me about this when you see it)
· Mopar aluminum pedal kit
· Shark fin antenna in body color (Mineral Gray)
· Flowmaster cat-back exhaust
· Gloss black "Viper" wheels
· Black piano finish pistol grip shifter with Mopar logo on top

Thanks guys! I just ordered a pretty cool "Mopar Muscle Logo" sticker for the liftgate glass.

I AM SUCH A NIMROD

Last night my son and I got home from his activities, opened the liftgate with the auto opener, took all his stuff out and put it in the house, got in the car and drove it into my garage with the liftgate still open.

Fortunately, the only thing that happened was a 2-1/2" long perfectly vertical scratch in the glass in the dead-nuts center from left-to-right. Let's just say my cool new Mopar shout out is really a big cover up!

I recently had my two front windows tinted to match the rest of the vehicle and I think it looks much better. Probably the easiest mod. to improve the overall looks of any Gen 3 D.

.
What % tint are the stock rears? . .

In VA the legal tint is 50% front, so if stock rear is no darker than that, we could do front to match stock rear.

My tint guy (Doug) is pretty darn knowledgeable, and he stated that factory tint varies from 18% to 22% depending on the manufacturer. I went with 20%, which appears to be a very good match for factory.

35% is typically the next lightest. 50% would be pretty light. He said that (surprisingly) the factory windows do not offer much UV protection and that he does a lot of 50% tint on the inside of factory tint to help cut back on the UV.

Hope this helps. It's a recap of what I was told this weekend.

Thanks!
Frank

Nice looking RT! I put 20% on my front windows too, but didn't know about putting the 50% on the factory tint... Thanks for the tip!

We need to get our NJ RTs together guys and cause some havoc and jealous stares.
