Default Mufflex Kit on Heat?

Anyone have any experience with these guys? The kit is cheaper and makes a pretty decent sound on the HEMI. Maybe a good option for people not trying to spend a small fortune?

Wow, that's actually the best sounding one I've heard so far. You have a price on that?

Funny thing is they are located in my hometown, Trenton, NJ.

Edit: NVM. Found the price. Only $283, but it's just mufflers. No cat-back! http://www.mufflex-performance.com/d..._brochure.html

its not even mufflers, its just extra pipe (where the rear muffler went) and tips. Go to your local muffler shop and get it done for half the price IMO.

I would recommend going with a full catback personally... Got my flowmaster for like $565 shipped!

Why do you recommend a catback? I think they only make 5HP according to flowmaster (which probably means 0 HP). I read someone else here claimed 20hp from a muffler delete - what a joke!

I read someone here saying that the stock system is necked down 2.5" to 2.25" at some point. This isn't a concern as gas contracts as it cools. Further from the engine your pipes don't need to be as big. OEM engineers don't leave HP on the table without a reason (emissions, etc)

Crossover pipes I think are over-rated too. I have a Charger SRT8 with a fake crossover installed at the factory. I changed to a real crossover and it didn't make any more power.

I'm looking at doing a resonator delete with some tips at my friends shop. I'm after a little more sound. I don't believe catbacks do anything for power and cost too much.

I don't disagree in general but i just figure a system that was built and designed to function on the vehicle for $560 isn't a bad deal rather than piecing together a system or cutting up the factory system. Just my opinion of course.. too each his own!

That price is tempting though considering the borla is almost 3x as much :-)

BTW everyone likes the look of the 22 vipers out here.
