Yes you can and there is a good write up on this site also of adding the stock HID housings with the wiring that is involved. It is minimal wiring if you are used to working on your own vehicle.
You might want to explore H11 to H9 bulbs conversion. It is an easy and inexpensive mod that results on more and brighter light without the glare that HID would produce when installed on Halogen reflectors.

I swapped my H11 low beam bulbs with H9 Philips from Amazon for $7 each. H9 bulbs are brighter with no glare. I’m very happy with this mod. I didn’t go with HID because HID on reflectors is useless in my opinion.
I’ve started with swapping the passenger side headlight for comparison purposes. Here are the pictures with passenger side with H9 and driver side with stock H11.
