Default Headlights fuse(s)

Hi guys,

Does anyone know where the headlights fuse is located. It is not in the Fuse Box under the hood.

Your help is appreciated.

there are no fuses. The headlights are controlled by the front module

Thank you Scottina,

What is the front module?

The reason I'm asking is that my friend's 2012 Crew Lux AWD HEMI's low beam headlights flicker irregularly while the engine is running. When the engine is off there is no flickering. He took it to the dealer, who tested the alternator and the battery and said everything was Normal.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

first thought would be a weak ground...check all the connections and grounds going from headlight to control module

If there were a fuse and it was blown, the lights wouldn't work at all!

That's correct. I thought it might be loose or something!

Im still familiarizing myself with these new Durangos...so Im not sure where the front control module is located. Could be under the dash, under drivers seat in the compartment......but probably under the dash. Regardless....even if you found the fcm....theres really nothing you can do. It controls all the opertaions of items in the front half of the vehicle.
Is this vehicle HID equipped? If so...flickering headlights is usually a bad bulb or ballast. I would check all the headlight connections as well. But this is def. a dealer item to track down. Obviously they were too lazy to troubleshoot to find theproblem...which is probably simple.

There has to be a fuse though. Everything in every vehicle has a fuse. It may not have it's own fuse, but it has to be at least part of a fused circuit. Nothing ever goes directly to power without being fuse as this would be a MAJOR fire hazard. Maybe it has a circuit breaker, or even a fusible link. Best thing to do would be to get access to the lighting system wiring diagram.

front control module from my understanding is built with fusible links inside the unit. If its the same way ford builds theirs
