Default Rear AC has mind of its own

In my 2012 Citadel the rear AC is set for 72 degrees on the front panel. After a few minutes, it starts blowing on high and when I check the panel, it is set "LO". I put it back to 72 and a little while later it does the same thing.

Any ideas what's going on?

Sounds like it is set in the auto mode, next time it happens, adjust the fan speed, this will take it out of auto mode.

Thanks for the thought.

It didn't seem like it was any hotter back there than it was in the front so I don't see why it kicked up only in the back. I guess I'll just have to watch it a while more to figure it out.

Hopefully yours is not like our "first" one. We actually owned a Durango for a few days, but because the dealer could not add some options as promised, we swapped for a different one.

The rear AC/heat had a mind of its own. Nothing I tried would keep it from coming on. This was back in December, so the problem was heat not AC.

I really think it was a bug. The one we have now has always acted as expected.

Well I took it off auto and moved the rear controls around a bit and then put it back on auto. So far, so good. Maybe it was just a weird combination of settings. We'll see.

Today the rear AC?heat started acting oddly again. It just reverts from AUTO to OFF after a few minutes. Maybe the forthcoming software update will fix that too.

Or, Reach in back and turn both fan and temp controls all the way down.
Then it controls from front only...
