Word On The Street.....
So I've been looking into painting the front grille black. So i was thinking get it painted or buy a factory painted black R/T one as mine is a white R/T. Well to make a story short, i called the dealer and asked how much a new one for an R/T would cost and he said which one..... And i said huh what do you mean the R/T comes color matched and honey comb black mesh. Ad he said no there are two options the honey comb and billet version..... Am i just late to the show and they have always had a billet grille option or am i getting wind of a new option? The honeycomb is 350 and change while the billet is a steep 500 and change..... Any help on pictures or thoughts would be appreciated.
I asked about that and for the 3xx.xx dollars it comes with the color matched grille the black honeycomb part and the dodge logo with hash marks. All pre painted all i have to do is find a black colored durango i like and get the vin so he can order based of the vin for most accuracy

They only use the last 8 digits of the VIN, it gives them the build sheet info to guarantee they get it right the first time. If you need a VIN, find one on autotrader.com and click 'see vin'.

Dealer here locally has 2 R/T's in black. Ill just take it off that. I just want to know what this billet grille option looks like so i can decide which route to go.
These don't look too bad though:

Nice! I doubt the billet grill will look any good personally! Most of them look cheesy to me and never fit the styling of the vehicle they're on, especially when the bottom bumper grill is still stock!

I don't mind any of those but i believe those clip on over the honeycomb part not actually replace it. What Im trying to achieve is an all blacked out front grille so chrome is out. I was hoping it was like the first one of your links but plastic thin horizontal pieces inset inside of the main dodge cross hair. When all black it would be very subtle.
