Of course the mopar.com and no site I could find listed/pictured the 3rd gen D cargo net accessory either. I have heard people had the net come with theirs as a dealer added item, but again it came in the back and they found nothing to hook the upper left corner to. Just seems like something Dodge dropped the ball with. I keep finding it more and more unfortunately. Like the parts listing/diagram not matching what the vehicle actually has or is built. And trying to get the electric power steering fluid the OM states to use, but the dealer database only lists AFT fluid... very frustrating.

I always back into my driveway now, so the back end is going uphill, hoping that will help. Then I go around and open from the back and I do the same thing, I have the "wait to catch things" pose.

I'm going to have to check out that cargo net option you have there, VERY good idea!!

Just last night I went shopping. Came home, opened the rear hatch from inside, heard a thud and knew something fell out. By the time I got to it a half gallon of laundry detergent was all over the driveway. I will be getting a net ASAP. Had pick up before this so its all new to me. Plus I'm a dumb ***.

These are the same reasons my wife and I miss being able to open the back glass, we usually take the suburban grocery shopping because we can open the glass and pull anything out that will fall, before opening the hatch. Looks like Ill be getting the net also.

Default Another solution...

Net looks nice. Another solution to rolling groceries is to get a cargo area mat. I have the Huskyliner mat (fits cargo area behind second row, does not fit with three rows of seats). It has a pretty good size lip at the tailgate that keeps stuff in.

I got it to try and keep yellow lab hair under control, but does help a little with above mentioned issue.

Where did you get the net from, if I may ask?

Thanks

fbures: I just searched the part number for the net on google and ordered it from a site. It was only about $25-30 for it, then about $3 for the hooks, so a good deal for the headaches it's stopped me from having.

Edited: Looked through my records and found I ordered the K82210267 part number... supposedly has hardware, didn't come with any.

Can you provide us with the link for the cargo net. I purchased one using the part number that you listed and I got one for a jeep. The things is half the size of the trunk area. The hooks were dead on. I got two sets because I plan to install it as close to the door as possible.

Part # 55217379 is for a jeep... I found part # 82210267 on ebay and on the Mopar sites and is for the 2005-2009 durango. I am not sure if it will fit the 2012 Durangos.

I just ordered the net from justjeeps.com and the hooks. A couple weeks ago I opened the liftgate and a bag with two bottles of wine fell out and broke on the pavement, was a wonderful smelling $120.00 spill! eager to get the net installed!
