Question Washer Fluid Light

My windshield washer fluid light came on a couple of weeks ago. I refilled it and about 2 days later, the light came on again. It now comes on every time I start my truck and there is fluid in the reservoir. Anyone else have this happen....any idea how to fix it?

Probably an air bubble in the sensor. Try tapping on the bottom of the bottle with the accessory power on and see if it goes out. Or try shaking the bottle a bit.

Sonya,

If the above suggestion does not work, have the dealer check it out the next time you are there. The washer fluid level switch in the reservoir can be checked by the dealer using their computer.

I tried both tapping the bottom of the bottle and shaking it as well. Neither one worked so I will definitely be taking it to the dealership, which sucks because I'm out of warranty and will have to pay out of pocket.

This may seem stupid, but have you actually activated the washer pump? Does it pump fluid? Does the warning clear?

I have just had the same issue occur. Did you have any luck resolving the problem? The Dodge dealer said that the level switch needs to be replaced.

It actually resolved on it's own after a while. I didn't have to have anything replaced.

The warning light was showing for a about a month on my car it disappeared for a trip but then came back. I had the level sensor replaced under warranty.

Mine came on also, I replaced it myself, $2.25 part on EBAY, figured it was less of my time then going to the dealer to have it done.
