Damn you guys are scaring me out of doing the update!

 

Strange...mine updated fine from that link. Did you update using a DVD or USB device?
I used a USB Card reader with a 8gb SD card.

 

I did the update in my garage and everything seems to work properly. +1 to Dodge for sending out free updates to the Navigation system. Little things that matter the most!

 

I burned it to a DVD. It was pretty strange but it's done now, could have been costly though since I did it. New radio with the new version and all is good. Still never got official discs in the mail.

 

just an FYI if you call NAvteq this update is so new they really cant answer many of your questions, rep told me the update I received went out to Dodge customers before they even got them in their warehouse. I called them do to the fact I left the truck on Acc while it was loading//as we know after a certain amount of time on Acc (ignition setting) the truck shuts down. I got in it the next day and the Nav screen was locked and no functions could be performed..however that is normal, it says it in manual that all on screen functions will be disabled during update and that the update will continue from the last point if the vehicle is shut off. I also went into the Data setting on the screen and made sure the newer version had uploaded, which it did. Hope that helps anyone

 

Us 2011 model owners won't get the update disks in the mail. 2012 models purchased between certain dates only.

 

I did the update and now on the GPS screen, when you change states, where it asks if you'd like to make the new state your default state, if you answer "no", it won't go forward. I does nothing. So you have to answer "yes" every time which is annoying. Otherwise, there were a few changes on the map screen and some new roads added. I'm sure there were other changes but those are the ones I've noticed. The thing took like an hour and a half to load.

 

I had the 2.126 update done by a dealer. I don't know if that also gave me the new maps. Can someone please check and tell me if N1108 4.21 is the most recent data set for the maps? Thanks.
