Look in the front wheel wells and you will see a removable cover to access the headlights back-side.

Agreed! I found the spot in the wheel well after trying to change them for 30 minutes...

Anyone have an issue where their lights are angled too high?

I need to adjust them toward the road, any tips?

I wish I could help you, but alas, the only advice I can offer is take it to the dealership. After leveling the front, my lights were too high. I looked at adjusting them myself, but upon looking into it, I didn't think it was not going to work out well. My service advisor didn't have a clue on how much time or money it was going to take. That said, the tech had it done in under a 1/2 hour. According to the advisor, they had to take the front end off to complete the task. I don't know if that is true or not considering I wasn't able to watch the work being performed. In the end it cost me like $30. In addition, my dealership is about 5 miles away so it was somewhat worth it.

This is because Chrysler does not like it when you work on your own things unless they've certified you, and you work in a dealership. It prevents them from making as much money as they can.

Plus they like feeling smarter than everyone else. But then again, did anyone else put a HEMI in new cars? Nope.

Neither does GM. In my 07 Tahoe, you had to remove the entire front bumper to change a headlight bulb. No kidding.

So What did Chrysler/Dodge get out of Daimler other then a soar A$$.
My past vehicle (a Touareg) the entire headlight assembly was removable to change out the lamps. Was so simple and the tool was in the trunk.

It sounds like my old 2006 Durango -- just slide a panel in the wheelwell splash liner and there's your bulb access. I'd say that's simpler than having to remove the assembly.

The 640-page owner's manual actually doesn't bother to mention that key bit of information. It just says to open the hood, twist the bulb 90 degrees and remove the bulb. But the same manual is more clear on changing foglight bulbs, saying that you reach through a cutout in the splash shield.

If you don't have that full owner's manual you can google '2012 durango manual' and download it easily, about 4MB. It has a lot of good info.

I'll be doing bulbs soon on both of my Dodges since I just ordered xenon-halogen bulbs off ebay for both. Both use the same bulbs -- H11's for low and 9005's for high. Eight bulbs for all of $42 isn't bad for a really nice boost in brightness.
