It sure would be nice to have that and not have to worry about a 3rd party rack scratching up the paint and/or having to remove it when not in use.
You can always do like me

The R/T is not a grocery getter. Hence no roof rack, no DRL's, no trailer hitch, though you can actually add that on. One choice interior...black. Monochrome exterior, body skirting, sports suspension, performance steering, 20 in wheels, hd brakes. I saw somewhere that it might have a louder exhaust. It's supposed to be a slick, cool Durango, not an ordinary V8 SUV. All the missing items if added on would detract from the "cool" factor. I miss the rook rack. I'll probably try to activate the DRL feature in self-defense or add an LED set. I'll probably add the trailer hitch too. But right now the rear of my R/T looks as slick as the front, and roof without the rack looks just fine. Let's face it. It's hard spend so much and not have the practicality it could have, but I suppose that's exactly the point.

BTW, they would have to leave pre-drilled and rustproofed holes to mount a rack after the fact. That's 90 pct of the cost of putting the rack on in the first place.

That is exactly why I will be using aftermarket hitch as well. That way I can take it off when not using it for extended amounts of time.
