BUT the audio part could be a complete placebo affect after all the updating.
Cool will try update soon.

I updated mine. I too noticed that the audio is better than before more bass and crisper highs. Also the whole navigation system changed. Most of the screens are different than before. Everything seems to be working fine and in many cases better.

Just installed update all went well till system rebooted and now is stuck on software update screen. I turned vehicle off and screen stayed on. After getting desperate I pulled radio fuse and waited 5 minutes. Put fuse back in and the update started going as it should have originally. Update finished installing properly. Breathed a sigh of relief. Everything is working properly and the Nav has a different look on the input end. It is actually the same as my Dad's 2013 Jeep Cherokee so I know update is correct. A few tense moments but THANK YOU for the update.

Happened right away, turned the car on, put the DVD in, it showed that it was reading a data disc and then immediately gave the PND error.

That seems really weird. I would do what NYDurango did and pull the radio fuse and let it sit for a bit. See if it completely reboots. And when you made the disc you made an .iso disc image correct? Not just a regular data disc?

yeah the info you gave me was an .iso image burned to a disc. The other one that I linked above was a data disc only but reading the forums off ChallengerTalk, JeepForum, etc every single person who responded said it worked. I will try and pull the fuse, I assume there's a schematic in the owners manual I can use to find out where it is?

Yeah it should say right on the fuse cover lid. And ill do a little more research on my end. I looked at that link and i have seen that one. I didnt do that one cause the chance for corrupt files. But let mr do some digging

Okay so i double checked that link and i think thats the sirius sat update rather then the link i provided. The one i did and you attempted was a software update not only for the HDD, the NAV and audio updates. So i think we are comparing apple and oranges. But let me look on the one link i provided. If the fuse thing doesnt work i think you can another thing to recover it
