Default I come Bearing Gifts..... For Some

UPDATE THIS IS FOR 2012 MY ONLY EVEN IF THE REST OF MY POST SAYS 2011. COULD CAUSE BRICKING OF YOUR RADIO IF YOUR NOT 2012. WE ARE WAITING FOR AN OK TO DO 2011 MY. PLEASE READ ENTIRE POSTS.

Ok so i found the update .iso for radios 430N RHB/RBZ 2011/2012 + Models. It is update 33.01.23 and it updates the radio software, garmin maps and other nav stuff, and some other firmware stuff that is buggy.

NOTE: IT SAYS THAT IT WORKS FOR THE RBZ BUT THE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER FORUM WITH RBZ RADIOS CLAIM THAT IT HASNT WORKED FOR THEM YET. JUST AN FYI USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I just updated mine about an hour ago and it took less then 15 minutes via DVD Update.

Hopefully this isnt a double post as i havent seen anything like it.

Here is the link for the file to download, be aware that you will have to make a disc image and burn to a DVD or CD.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B399...ROSkxSYVk/edit

its my personal google drive and i will try to make sure it stays active for quite some time and anyone else willing to keep it up and active would be appreciated.

ALL CREDIT GOES TO http://mofv.com/mygig/ THEY HAVE WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE MOST CURRENT AND UP TO DATE INFORMATION THAT I CAN FIND.

Also here is another post i found on another forum for the Uconnect update separate from the radio update above.

There was a 2012 Uconnect SW update released. The dealers received it yesterday. The TSB # is 08-018-12. Below is just the highlight of the TSB. This TSB is for the 2012 vehicles built prior to 1-1-2012 and have the following radios (RES,REQ,RHB,RBZ) and have the Uconnect system. This update has nothing to do with the radio, only the external UC module.
OK, so now you're wondering "can I do the update or do I have to take it to the dealer. Give me a couple days to work on this, I do have the file but I need to call a couple of the dealers to see if they can find it in their STAR system. Once I can confirm that they have it (but probably don't know what to do, even though the procedures will be the same as the TSB from last year and some dealers still claim there is no such TSB) Then I should be able to help further.
Stay tuned.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer satisfaction enhancements are included with this software release:
NOTE: After the HFM has been updated it will receive these enhancements.
· Reduced “Device Reading” wait time after connecting a device to the remote USB
port.
· Call / Dial separation improves upon names being recognized as phone numbers.
· Improved sound quality during Bluetooth streaming.
· Increased iPod and iPhone compatibility.
· SMS messaging support via MAP protocol (not all phones support the MAP
protocol).
· Added “None of These” and “Correction” to the phone book prompt menu for better
handling of similar names.
· Previous button will return the song currently being played to the beginning of the
track.
· AirPlay feature “Dock Connector” no longer needs to be manually selected on Apple
devices. This will resolve the “No Audio” condition when the device is connected to
the remote USB port and dock connector is not selected.
NOTE: USB mode resume will no longer 'resume' after ignition OFF

Hey I just tried this updated and got "PND Update Failed"

I didn't name the disc anything special, just burned the .iso file to a DVD and put it in. Am I doing something wrong?

Was it when it was doing the radio or the nav? Also i stepped away when i did mine and i didnt know it finished so quick so when i did it again i got that update error. Did you double check the software to see if it updated by hitting menu and then system information?

Yeah a little bit, the nav in the top right looks a little more streamlined and designed rather than just blocky letters and a square, it definitely did something with response time to when you touch buttons, screens are almost instantaneous and very quick to process stuff it seems now. Also i have no proof of it but i think they changed the audio processing, because it resets it back to factory middle settings, but when i put mine back to where i had it it sounds alot more crisp, and not so clunky and mid heavy. BUT the audio part could be a complete placebo affect after all the updating.
