Welcome ScottyUSN, I'm assuming your username is indicative of being somehow involved in serving in the United Stated Navy? maybe I'm just being presumptive. Anyway, A BIG WELCOME to you and congrats on the new DD. I forgot what they looked like with stock wheels on, HA....Enjoy your ride brother.
Retired Navy. It's been my forum handle for 20 years.
I have 31k on my rt, a 2012 with hypertech and afe. Im not going to do anything else to it. The exhaust has a crackle to it at wot. Sounds like a old 350 with straight pipes imo
Hey CMIL, is the drone at certain speed/rpm or just wot? I like my exhaust sound at medium throttle but it gets that glass pack/rattle at wot. Mine sounds pretty good to me inside I just don't like it when the windows are down. Just curious. I want a nice sound level but I think the magnaflow is a bit quieter than I'd like. http://s140.photobucket.com/user/pho...27575.mp4.html

+1, mine has become more aggressive sounding after 2500 miles on the OD.

so .if we're talkin' just sound...a new Exhaust is not a must have for the D, since stock it def has a nice tone..
but if you do a CAI and a tune then that makes a bigger case for an exhaust IMO, as the combo will work nicely together to give you some moderate but noticeable gains as well as the throatier sound
