I've been meaning to check out that thread, but if the issue does arise, is Dodge being pretty easy with repairs? Anyone know if the issue in question is covered under the standard limited powertrain warranty (5/100k), or does it require one of the extended warranties?

And the light came on again this past weekend. was on for about 4 hours then it was off. the only thing different this time was it didnt go into "limp" mode. So i brought it to the dealership when it was on and oh we cant scan it today. blah blah blah.. ofcourse its off now.

so i booked it for tuesday, along with a squeeky drivers seat that has got worse over last few months. i only have about 800 miles left in my factory warranty..

Usually a miss fire is identified by a FLASHING check engine Light followed by solid illumination. You notice any sputtering especially up hill? Also check the you tube sound vids on that cyl head issue. It developes a heavy ticking sound usually on the drivers side.

Only the first time it came on like a month ago the truck went into "limp mode" after i shut it off, then back on it was ok. this time it seemed to be running normal all times.

i have an appt today so i will see what they say.. probably the usual "we cant get it to do anything"...

Have not seen a response if the 100,000 mile drive train warranty covers the misfire code and subsequent head issue. Anyone know? Just curious in the unlikely event....

I can understand your frustration certainly with only 800 miles left on your warranty. I don't know the answer to your question, but at this time if it was me I would call or even go and see your sales person. They should know the answer to your much needed question.

Thanks FSTDANGO3.....do you know what the percentage of 3.6 liter engine owners who have experienced this problem? Just curious since it appears this is a potential issue for us V6 owners. Thanks again.
