Default I really want DRLs!

I'd give up fog lights and convert them to DRLs on my 2012 Citadel. Any ideas how I'd do that?

You can go to the dealer and they can enable the DRL's from what I've learned. When I have some time I'll look for a power feed to wire them up on ignition on. I'll try to find out if I can use the factory fog push button to turn them on and off but it might take some time as I am busy the next week.

If you have factory HIDs you cannot enable DRLs. What you could do is to turn headlights on automatic and cover the sensor on the dash. Downsides are that HIDs will burn out sooner and cost more to replace, and your radio will be so dim you can't read it.

I have drl's from the dealer, they used a starscan device to enable. high beams are used just at a lower wattage, not low beams.

i love the look of just my fogs on I drive that way all the time

I would suggest opening the headlights up and installin DRLed's, 1 strip inside each headlight. Would look sick and theres a PERFECT spot in there almost looks like by design for a strip of LED:

From what Ive gathered from other posts here, the dealer cannot activate DRL on a US Durango with HIDs. The necessary wiring/relays is just not there. I used the "cover the sensor" method, but I'd like a better solution.

I replaced the reflectors in my GSXR1000 and put in projectors from an Infinity FX45. Not sure I feel like putting my auto leveling HID's in the oven.

I thought the same thing about putting the LED's in the headlight housing and then I saw the 2014s.... (figures)
Then I thought about mounting these:

The measurements seem like they would mount perfectly under those vent cutout spots. I was hoping they would mount inside but they are a little longer than what I measured so under would work and follow the curve upward. Anyone good at photo-shopping to see what they might look like?

Just curious why people want DRL's? I disabled them on the Subaru I had.
