Thats the idea, i just dont want to take up that entire compartment. I keep some jumper cables, tie downs, emergency kit etc. plus, 2 10's/12's is too much. Ive been there, my wife would be pissed if i did that again. Just want a little bumpage, no bowel movements

I put in the JL Audio Stealthbox and have been extremely happy with it as part of a bigger system -- stock head unit, but coax in front and rear door and new tweeters up top, all amplified. Bass gain control just above little tray on centel console below radio/ac stack.

So i wired in my 500.1 jl amp, replaced the factory 8 with a jl 8w3v3. I put it in the factory housing, with some creativity. The jl was too deep for the factory enclosure, so i shimmed it with some plywood.

Long story short, sounds like absolute b hole. Rattling and i cant turn it up more than 1/4 without some serious rattling
from the enclosure.

So im gonna build a box to sit in the factory space. Will post pics of it complete.

Im gonna build it big enough to hold a 10, as i feel a 10w6v2 is in my future as soon as i find a good deal

So, I think I posted this on another thread but it fits this one too. I installed the Infinity Bass Link amplified 10" subwoofer in my DD. I was super easy since the factory sub high level wires are right there under the lid, I grabbed the ground off the third row seat bolt and ran the power wire to the positive bolt for jump starting under the hood although you can go under the seat right to the battery also. I ran the bass control **** up to the front and 3M tapped it to under the center of the dash above the center console. The Bass Link has an auto on so no need to run a power on/off wire to switch the unit on and off. Lots of bass now, and still using the factory sub also. Love it. Plus still have the storage area under the lid. Just though I would share again.

I got my jl 8w3v3 installed. Built a box that will fit in the same location as the stock one. Powering the sub with a jl 500/1 jx class d mono amp. A little overpowered, but wasnt sure if id want to upgrade to a 10w6v2 later on.

Ran the sub level beside the 12v plug under the console. Semi hidden. The 8 definitely hits pretty hard for a 8. I wont be upgrading to a 10 until this one blows up.

It fits under the "alpine" plastic cargo tray, so a finished picture would be the pic of just that tray. Its all hidden and looks stock. Only way you can tell is the fused wire on the battery, volume control ****, and the louder bass

you can do a slim 8 inch but you will have to put in a amp to push it
