There was a thread about a year ago, I can't remember who, added a sub in the rear storage compartment.

I added a bazooka tube, mounting it behind the third row seats on the driver side. Great bass. I did this because when we go camping I move the tube to my fifth wheel....Also a cheaper and easily reversable change. I retained the factory sub too.

Caution though, there is a little wire in that rear compartment that when disconnected disables the Durango....

i only have the 2 rows of seats. where the 3d row goes i custom built a box for a single 12" sub. i have it flush to the floor of the cargo area. to the naked eye there is nothing in the vehicle. i built it so i can even stack heavy items on top of it.

The facroty sub is a terrible design IMO. the heavy plastic cover muffles so much of the sound.

I just took everything apart, found the sub. Peeled off the sub "grill," will see if that helps.

The enclosure looks decent. Has anybody reused the factory enclosure, just upgraded amp and sub? I may do this. Its about 0.6 cu ft. Should be able to get a decent 8" sub for it. I dont wanna **** the neighbors off.

All i want is to be the white boy in the white durango with a little bump.
