Default Low Oil !!

So I checked my oil today...about last month maybe 4-5 weeks ago or so it was right on the money..clean look and
right above the fill line

So now I am 5 months / 5K miles since last change..no notification from the truck yet, but I am ready to plan my next change and switch to Pennzoil Ultra...

I pull the dipstick and then I am shocked to see I am about 1.5 to maybe 2 quarts low !
a nice bit under the fill line...!

I am running not walking to get that Mobil 1 crap out of my DD and see how the Pennzoil holds up..

this will be the 2nd big V8 in a row that I now have oil disappearing in with Mobil 1....I drive spirited but not abusive..

Keep your eyes on your oil fellas !!

What is your mileage now bud? And were you at the top of the dipstick on your last fill? Last question. Do you notice your oil pressure ever going above 56 PSI? Noticed a couple 5.7 ram guys in 09'10 with using more than 1 quart every 4k miles with oil pressure in the 60 PSI range during warm up 100-175 degrees.

A bit over 7K miles...

Right dead at the top, with 7 full quarts last oil chg..

I have to check the OP but I usually run thru the EVIC onxe every 25 mile trip to or from work each day and I think its always about the same pressure but I cant remember the exact number...I'll pay closer attention next few days and post back up..

I can't find the thread but ya they were over 60 psi at idle/ light throttle and never really came down in the 40s 50s. Everyone threw every possibility under the sun at them, from oil viscosity to plugged oil valleys. In the end one guy stuck a small filter in line PCV and that seemed to lower oil consumption. Shouldn't be using that kind of oil with 7k miles IMO. The catch can could be your ticket. I'm going to watch mine like a hawk and we should all post on anything excessive. I see why your nervous with your old TBSS issue.
