Default Jacking/Lift points on the Durango

So i know the owners manual shows the jack points for the on-board jack for changing a tire, but i have been curious as to whether these are also the recommended lift points for using a 2/4 post lift or floor jack as well? i have heard and read from other people that a jack point and lift point may not necessarily be the same locations on a vehicle, especially if its uni-body. I have been using these locations to lift my D and put un jackstands when doing oil changes. i have blocks of wood that i notched out to fit around the pinch weld seam and use these on my jack stands and floor jack in order to try and prevent bending the pinch weld seam and scraping any paint off. i just was wondering if this is the proper/best location to place my floor jack and stands and also was curious what everyone else uses to jack up their rides for work or maintenance. thanks.

I use the the round hole post on the rear with my 3 ton floor jack using a corvette puck that fits into the hole perfectly. On the front I do the same thing in the hole in the lower control arm. No issues yet. Not sure if they are factory approved but they work well.

Valid question removed, because of some poster having nothing better to do than make ignorant comments.

I realize it sounds like a dumb question. I mean, yeah, just using common sense you can look and identify a good place on the subframe to lift it. However what Really trying to figure out is what the "factory recommended" locations are. Also, I know sometimes the pinch welds arent always the best place, as sometimes they get scratched up and can be a place for rust to start or can also roll or bend if youre not on the reinforced area. Just curious what you all do?

I'm curious too. On both my Hondas there's a specific central lift point for the front and rear, they welded a little vertical tab to the center subframe. They also have welded plates instead of pinch welds at the usual 4 corners. Sure makes it easy to get it up on 4 jack stands for tire rotations.

I downloaded the '13 manual but it does not mention any central lift point. I don't have much knowledge in this area so I'm curious if every car is the same and it's ok to lift from the center of the subframe. Otherwise it sure doesn't seem safe to get it up on 4 jack stands lifting 1 corner at a time.

Rear lift point I have been using on both sides, The corvette lift puck is oval on one side and round ont he other. The round portion fit into the 3 ton floor jack and the oval fits perfect into this location

Up front I use the same puck just inverted into the round whole on the lower control arm. its tight but it fits.
