Tipm
Don't get too excited before we hear if the 2014 TIPM works and is a retrofit for the 2011 to 2013 models. Then we have to hope that by the time ours fail that the dealer can get them and that this happens under warranty. Don't hold your breath for a recall.
2014 TIPM will not work on prior models
The TIPM controls everything the radio lighting everyting
The 14 has all different lighting and wiring architecture
The TIPM part number has been updated several times, All parts are constantly updated. While we feel that Chrysler isnt caring what is going on they know they had a problem with the TIPM design long before the 13 models came out and had a redesigned module in them. All parts on all vehicles get constantly redesigned, appearing the same as the one removed but constantly changing.

I agree that the TIPM on the 14's will be different (due to changes made to that model year), but is it actually improved?!? Only time will tell...but my confidence is low.
Nothing makes me turn my back on a manufacture faster than poor reliability and expensive repairs. I doubt I will ever lease a vehicle (to many commuting and weekend miles) so I keep my vehicles until they have 130-150k miles. The first thing I look at is the reliability of the model or manufacturer. These TIPM issues across many Dodges/Jeeps/Chryslers are probably going to send me looking elsewhere. I think the DD would be a great vehicle to meet my needs, but I don't want to end up on a parts wait list for months with a brick sitting in my driveway.

MY 2013 had the start issue, it also has 20k miles on it.
It was in the shop 4 times and finally they preformed the tsb bullitin for the 2008-20011 where do some changes to the WINS. This was 3 months ago and it is now runningfine since then. Mine was in the shop 4 times and was ready to lemon law it.

Dear Dodge Cares- can you give us any hope regarding Dodge recognizing the issue and working on an improved TIPM? Are the ones arriving in the dealerships the old faulty version or a new version with the issue fixed?
Also, any further word on the "work around" mentioned in these forums, presumably the addition of a relay external to the TIPM so the load doesn't fry the one in the TIPM? I will be taking my 2012 in to the dealer soon to get my occasional long cranking issue in the record before my warranty runs out, so I can eventually get a redesigned TIPM. What can you share?
You aren't going to hear anything from her until someone says their POS was finally fixed...

The TIPM is a totally different, I have only see a handful of WINS failing from 08 models and up.
