Vehicle Entertainment system VES questions
I know that rear passengers can choose to either watch TV/video if a DVD is in the head unit or listen to another source than the front occupants are listening to. But are you saying you've seen the screen split to watch two different things at the same time? I usually listen to music on the HDD while my son listens to the radio and my daughter watches TV.
Anyone using mp4 video files? Does that work? I've been building a collection of movies on a hard drive connected to my Roku on the the home TV. Kids can watch their movies without digging out the discs. I'm wondering if I could plug that same hard drive into the 430N for long trips. I suppose I could get off my duff and try it, lol.

Let me know if it works
You can not connect usb hd to radio and grab movies, wont read it. There was a guy on here that had a setup though more extravagant than mine where he had a wirelss WD harddrive cofigured. Here is his post
My Galaxy works better, because you can display anything on phone screen on the video screens. Also have a WD live installed under the drivers seat and run to the aux input in the back. Have a terabyte worth of movies installed on it, and can use the wifi hotspot off my phone to stream netflix over it if we want.
