Hell no to Hypertech. Get yourself a Trinity or inTune DCX by Diablosport. You can also save yourself a few dollars by having a local shop cut out the resonator or replacing the suitcase muffler with a pair of high-flow mufflers. You'll get your tuner and have a better flowing exhaust with a deeper note...and you'll still be way under the cost of a Magnaflow catback.

Hypertech if you're only looking to just basic bolt ons. You don't need a custom tune for an intake and exhaust. I dyno'd at 310 rwhp with hypertech, magnaflow, k&n and larger tb. Now if I do the turbo setup I want ill need a diablo to support it. Granted diablo allows you to do a lot more. But if you're not forced inductions and just basic bolt ons its not needed but will still work for you.

Over 5k miles on the hypertech and still feels great. I do have a low temp thermostat that may be helping it out.

How is the 180* stat working out for ya? Notice any improvements or drawbacks?

You absolutely should run a custom tune with just intake and exhaust if possible. You'll get the most out of them. Even dodge figured this out with their scat pack additions at SEMA. With guys like HEMIFEVER out there if you can afford to buy a trinity and have him load his tuned then why not? There are many RAM owners running this set up with great gains.

A custom tune done by HemiFever (included with the cost of my tuner) was worth an extra 3/10th's of a second on my 0-60 over the canned tune from DS. I'm now doing 7.6 sec 0-60's with my Pentastar and lowly 5-speed...on crappy winter gas. My only mod is a CAI (stock dual exhaust). You're fooling yourself if you think a custom tune isn't worth it with bolt-ons.

I agree you'll get a little more but is it worth the price differance? To most it won't be and the ease of a plug n play is best. Majority of Durango drivers don't go to the track either. I still think I'm the only one to autocross a +11 Durango still. For what you're doing the DS is best. I will soon be making the switch to DS since ill need the ability to adjust paramiters.

Both the trinity and bullydog are plug and play. Very easy to use.

No drawbacks, truck runs 185 moving and 195 in traffic. Way better than stock 205 moving 225 traffic. It absolutely stopped having the power robbing heat soak.

Do you have to keep the trinity plugged in after you load a tune? Also does Hemifever charge for his program and what kind of gains with just CAI and maybe an axel back Gibson on the R/T.
