Hey guys, I've been following this forms for a bit now. Today I finally removed the larger second row console from my Durango. It was very easy to do and didn't take any time at all. My biggest concern is trying to find a dealer that lets you make the purchase for the mini console. Here in Canada, I've been having difficulties trying to order it. Too many dealerships are simply telling me that it cannot be done. Just curious as to what dealerships you guys have ordered the smaller console from. Thanks.

Just picked up a used 2014 Durango R/T Blacktop. Love the car and we got lucky it has every possible option including the 2nd row captains chairs and full console. We have 3 small kids all in car seats and need to swap out the full console for the mini console. I've read a ton of posts but none of them have the part number to do this. I found these part numbers from a 2013, but am not sure if they are the same interiors as the 2014.

i ordered it from a 2013 parts bin too and everything checked out well. I myself ordered exactly what you did. But if you wanted to save a little money don't order the cup holder 5lx59dx9-aa. The mini console itself has two built in cup holders. Secondly, don't even order any bolts. You can reuse the bolts from the larger console as they are the same. My swap is now complete and it really opens up the second row. It took no time to do and the mini consoles looks sharp.

 

I finally got my mini console in;

$113 for all the parts. There was only 2 problems I ran into;

1.) Small bolt (w/ 3/16" Allen at the base of the seats wasn't long enough so I used the new ones I purchased (they were a little long just used some fenderwashers and it fit perfectly)
2.) There must be something different from the two options (besides the different carpets) because it didn't sit flush with the floor. There was a little gap (approx 1/2") that really bugged me. So I removed the 'extra legs' and it sat perfectly flush with the floor.

 

is there anyone that wants to trade (for a mini console) or purchase my full size rear console. Family has grown and that full console is too bulky

Is this Parts list applicable to any 3G Durango w/ 2nd row captain's chairs ? I have a 2018 R/T AWD with the 2nd row chairs and the full size console. I want to remove the full console & replace with the mini for a while until the kiddos don't need kid seats anymore ( currently 8 and 6 yrs old)
