I'm taking my '13 in tomorrow. Not even 2k miles and I'm frustrated with the shaking in the front end. Hope they can solve it.

The factory tires will be out of balance guaranteed! And the alignment is more than likely off

I wonder if the tires are the sole culprit. I had an MDX years back with a new set of GoodYears on it. It was "certified" so Acura had swapped out the tires. Could never get it balanced out. Finally took it to Discount Tire and they checked the "out of roundness" and found one really bad tire at 0.040" out. Changed tires and front end shake vanished. Tire guy told me that he sees a lot more factory brands being very close to unacceptable regarding out of round.
Wife's new Bridgestones had the same problem too.

Well, got the DD back from the dealership and the shake is WORSE.

WTF!

Calling them back to see what else can be done. Frustrated!

Separate issue, they are going to replace the headliner as it doesn't line up around the hanger hooks.

This can be true, ever notice it is harder to remove lugs in the hot Summer than the cold winter... same idea, think about how a tie rod works.

To OP, I bet your wheels are out of round. Aftermarket wheels look friggin awesome (I have em on both my Vette and Jag), but they do not have the durability of OEM wheels and will go "out of round" on you often.

The light shimmy still there…is not a shake but a light shimmy that is gone…and back…I will really appreciate any advice or similar experience that could help me out to keep this set.

Thanks in advance.
Try Rotating Tires, work for me.

I looked at my wheels and 2 have a ton of weight. One is on the front drivers side so I moved it to the back and most of the shake went away.

I guessing the wheels and/or tires are just not that great.

Wonder if I can get the dealership to get me something different.

ok, now is getting interesting, I drove the truck on saturday night with practically no shimmy at all but sunday with a light shake at morning, while the hunter 9700 read everything ok under the normal parameters, I'm starting to wonder if the tires could be a reason...rims are ok, one had a small bump that was repaired and placed at the back passenger side so it is impossible and unrelated with the shimmy, but the tires while new were at my storage for a couple months, so in my humble opinion the rubber maybe could be sitting wrong or maybe a bit out of shape (thing that seem weird also since the hunter machine got them on the normal parameters) or could be changing shape because the weather...Don't know, but if there is a failure I think it must be the tires. BTW, if many of us is having this problem, what about to join voices and ask chrysler to re check the specs?
Have a great week everybody

This is a nice idea, but unless everyone is running stock tires and rims, it's a non-starter.
