Tires only have about 1000 miles on them. Took it to Mr. Tire to see if it can be salvaged and they told me that it is too close to sidewall and they will not repair it for liability reasons. Told me I could plug it myself but he wouldn't recommend it... What say you all.... Plug it or spring for new tire????

Buy a new tire and rim. Place it on the ride and repair your old one. Us it as your spare. My 0.02.

When I use to buy aftermarket rims I always purchased 5.

Yeah when I got mine, asked on here and no one bought 5 when I asked, but always thought would look odd if I needed to break out spare. Man this pic is freaky as its the same wheel and tire as mine, feel like Im being punked

Not a bad idea... Never considered buying a 5th rim/tire. Wouldn't happen to fit in the spare tire location would it...

I have patched allot like that. Most places just want to sell you another tire.

that is a bit close to the sidewall, should put that as a rear wheel and swap a good rear one up.

Mayby not a plug but a good tire shop should be able to patch that. I wouldn't buy another tire before trying a patch on the inside of the tire.
