Default Need help! Lighting/Electrical question

Hey guys,

So I ordered an interior LED light kit from Precision LED. Some of the blubs they sent me didn't fit, so they overnighted me some new ones. One of the new bulbs was for the glove box. I took the old one out and put the new one in and there was a small spark and then ALL of the interior lights went off! I tried letting the car sit, locking and unlocking with remote and nothing worked. Started the car, no lights came on and the windshield wipers came on and wouldnt turn off! I looked up the fuse # for the lights in the manual, took it out and then put it back in and nothing happened.

Does anyone know what's wrong/how I can fix this? Please tell me it's something easy and this stupid little bulb isn't going to make me have to take it in to the dealer! Needless to say, I am NOT happy with Precision LEDs right now!

Thanks for any help

You don't mention if you could tell whether or not the fuse was blown, just that you took it out and put it back in, like a reboot. Reinsert the old bulb with a new fuse. Check the socket itself. When you inserted the LED, maybe it grounded to something which would cause a spark and the fuse to blow.. That happens with the interior light on my GTO. Good luck.

Sorry, yea it didnt look like it was blown that's why I just put it back in. I have the original bulb back in, and it still doesnt seem to work. I'll try a new fuse and see if that helps. Thanks.

Just double checked and the fuse was not blown. I did have to pull the windshield wiper one though, as they now won't go off when the car is on. Of course the company's support line is only open M-F.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 30 minutes then reconnect. Id check all fuses to make sure

Tried it and it didnt work. I replaced all the bulbs back to the factory ones and took it back to the dealership and I'm gonna play stupid. Driving on the way to the dealership though, the traction control and check engine lights were on, turn signals didnt work, AND the steering controls didnt work. I dont know what happened, but apparently it wasn't minor...
