They don't work with the switch in the OFF position. So you leave them on in the lowest frequency position for the delayed wipers. Then as the rain increases they go faster and faster on their own and when the rain stops, they stop, pretty cool. You need to be sure this is selected in the settings of the touchscreen.

Ah, ok. This makes sense then. So just leave them in the lowest position for the delayed and they'll only start wiping when it detects rain? And then if going through the car wash, need only move it back to off, correct?

You have to select the option in the settings on the touchscreen. Then you leave them on in the lowest setting on the delay switch. They speed up automatically as the rain gets heavier and slow down as it lightens up, then stop if the rain stops. They don't work in the OFF position.

Dont forget to turn the wipers to off if you have the auto wipers when cleaning the windshield at a gas station. First time I did it the wiper whipped the squeegee out of my hand. Funny but traumatizing.... Lol

I am currently sitting in rush hour traffic with the car driving itself. slowing down to as little as one mile per hour and accelerating up to 35 mph without me touching the brake or the gas, it just began misting and the wipers are turning themselves on. This is way too much, I'm expecting it to intuitively know when to scratch my butt next!
