The eco-mode button in the RT changes the shift points and the accelerator responsiveness

cylinder deactivation works with the button pushed or not with 5.7

SHIFT PATTERNS and FUEL/TIMING CURVES It make s the D a little peppier and reduces fuel economy. If you leave it on the engine management maximizes for fuel economy

Thanks Wayne
correction on the RPM at 70. It was actually 1800-2000.

So then with ECO off then it would be peppier and acceleration would be a little better? I usually keep it one.

Yes, when it is ON, the Gas pedal is less responsive and the transmission shifts less aggressively at lower rpm's. When you want to have a little fun, just push the button turn it off and go.

Thanks for the replies. My wife currently drives a 2012 1500 crew cab w/hemi. Wanting to get suv for grandkids. She really likes the looks of the new durangos. Sooo, looks like we're in the market for a 2014 Durango. I must say they are cool lookin myself. I think the V6 will work for her. Going to trade in the hemi too. Gonna like the better fuel economy for sure.
