Default catch can oil has water in it.

Okay, I checked my catch can today 5200 miles on my truck and it was half full, light brown from water and sludge at bottom of can. So got nervous and pulled dip stick and the oil was dark and no signs of water. Wtf any one else experience this?

Seems logical that there would be condensation in it.

I agree with you especially since the weather has been flucuating 50 degrees here, even the concrete has been sweating on my patio.

temp fluctuations don't stress it.

Double bonus V, you kept both the extra oil and that condensation out of your intake manifold.

It also has to do with the distance you drive to work. You really dont get fully warmed up even if you pre start the D. The condensation is normal. If you drove longer distances the condensation would actually float thru the catch can as water vapor as the HOTTER (thoroughly warmed up) oil vapors passed thru there. Older Hemis as well as 4.7 liter dodge engines frequently got a pasty white much in the pcv circuit that had to be cleaned
