Default Legmaker CAI installed.

Ok got the LM installed today. The tube would be a little better fit if it was about 2" longer. Really had to tweek it to get it to fit decent. The air sensor was hitting on the engine cover so had to slide the CF tube in the coupler as far as I could so it cleared the cover. Then the filter hits against the AC line. Overall after getting it in I like it but the fit of the volant it like a glove comparitivley.

Looks great! 2 questions: Why did you switch to LM and no heat shield? Me thinks you will be sucking in a ton of hot air.

No heat shield offered with the LM. When the vehicle is moving I'm def not worried about a heat issue. I also switched because I was looking for something that looked better with the red billet parts in the engine bay.

Contacted Chris from LM but never got a response about fit. Def bummed about that as he always responded right away before. Its been well over a week so def don't see him reaching out to me. The good news is my wife asked me what I did as the truck is getting much better gas mileage since the switch out. Not sure whats up but with the temps here in IL still very cold I am sure the gas still has additives in it for the cold. Anyways since switching to the LM we are getting about 2+ mpg difference in a positive direction. Call me crazy but the 4" tube and the open filter must be making a difference plus the sound is MUCH improved.

Now that you've had it on for awhile. Are you still happy with it? Did they ever respond to your installation issues? Do you still feel the mpg are improved?

Thanks
