Are you sure it was parking sensor and not the Blind Spot Monitoring chime that accompanies the little orange triangles in the mirrors.

Within 1 day of driving my 2011 with the blind spot sensors, I turned the bloody chime off - I only left the visible indicators active as you should be checking your mirrors before changing lanes anyway.

Yeah all I use is the visual triangles no sound for the blindspots, that would be nuts

This is what I thought your issue was... it was surprising to me that my "park sensors" chimed when I'd be making a left turn in a double left turn lane with a car on my left. It would always go off and freak me out! I quickly realized it was the blind spot monitoring telling me someone was on my left.

It does it every so often and now I'm used to it, haven't turned it off yet because I like knowing when someone speeds into my blind spot after I've looked (happened multiple times). Anyways, if that's not your issue then definitely bring it in.

You sure it isn't your Blind Spot Warning system? It can be set to beep as well as light up indicators in the mirrors.

No, I have the Rallye edition, not equipped with blind spot monitoring.
